Year 1 have been looking at the different types of transport in Thailand and comparing it to transport in Australia. Many types of transport are the same such as buses, taxis, cars, planes and bicycles.
But did you know in Thailand you can travel on tuk tuks and samlors? What are tuk tuks and samlors I hear you ask. Well, ask your children to explain these types of tranport to you. It would be good to know if they can describe them well. Maybe get them to reply in the comments with their explanation.

A tuk tuk has three wheels and a n engine, it's like a small truck it has a long seat at the back for passengers. It also has a canopy to keep the sun off of the passengers. It looks great fun.
ReplyDeleteA Samlor is a three wheeled bike with a side or back car and it has a seat in it for the passengers to sit in. It has a canopy to keep the sun off of the passengers. There is a driver and he pedals the bike very hard. It looks fun but very hard workd for the driver, my daddy says the driver is very fit. I would like to sit in the back.
ReplyDeleteGreat work, Alisha. Two very good descriptions. I don't think I'd like to be a samlor driver if I had to go up hills, but downhill would be fun.
ReplyDeleteA tuk tuk is like a three wheeled bus. I wish I could go on a tuk tuk. Sophia
ReplyDeleteTuk Tuks and Samlors both have three wheels. The Tuk Tuks are powered by an engine and the Samlors are powered by people power. People who run the Samlors have to eat healthy food to get the Samlors going. I would like to ride on a Samlor the most because they are better for the environment.
